Vaccination for Females After 20 Years: Current Recommendations and Public Health Importance — A Comprehensive Review
Authors/Creators
Description
Vaccination is a critical component of preventive healthcare for adult women. After 20 years of age, females face unique health risks, including reproductive health challenges, occupational exposures, waning immunity, and vulnerability to vaccine-preventable diseases. Immunization helps prevent cervical cancer, hepatitis, pertussis, influenza, and other infections that disproportionately affect women. This review summarizes current recommendations, evidence-based benefits, challenges, and future directions in adult female vaccination.
