MINIMALISM IN ABDULLA QAHHOR'S SHORT STORIES

This article analyzes the use of minimalism in Abdullah Qahhor’s short stories, focusing on stylistic features and their contribution to meaning. As one of the most influential figures in Uzbek realist prose, Qahhor is known for his concise language, narrative economy, and psychological depth. The study examines how minimalist techniques such as brevity, understatement, and implicit meaning function as artistic tools in his storytelling. Through close textual analysis, the article argues that minimalism in Qahhor’s short stories enhances realism, emotional intensity, and social criticism. Rather than limiting expression, Qahhor’s minimalist style allows deeper meanings to emerge through simple language and everyday situations.
