“Optimizing Tourism Data Extraction and Analysis: A Comprehensive Methodology”.
This chapter proposes a data science–driven methodology for the extraction, processing, and analysis of tourism-related data from heterogeneous and unstructured sources. Using techniques such as graph analysis, unsupervised machine learning, and bibliometric tools, the study provides insights into tourist origin patterns and visitor behavior in Spain, with a detailed focus on Andalusia. The proposed approach supports evidence-based decision-making in tourism management and demonstrates the applicability of data science methods to strategic analysis in the tourism sector.
