Description
This thesis presents RapidCare, a real-time emergency medical resource booking and coordination system designed to reduce delays in accessing critical healthcare services. The platform enables users to search and reserve hospital beds, ICU units, operation theatres, surgeons, and emergency blood donors through a unified digital interface.
RapidCare integrates real-time resource availability, secure mobile financial service–based payments, multi-role dashboards for patients, hospitals, and administrators, and automated notification workflows. The system was developed using a modern web-based architecture and evaluated through functional, performance, usability, and security testing.
Experimental results demonstrate that RapidCare significantly reduces emergency response time and improves coordination among healthcare stakeholders. The proposed system offers a scalable and practical solution for emergency healthcare digitization, particularly in resource-constrained environments.
