Description
In efforts to enhance the quality of human resources in the healthcare sector, understanding the factors influencing nurses’ organizational commitment has become increasingly important. This study examines the connection between career growth and organizational commitment among nurses in private hospitals in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, using a quantitative approach. Data were acquired through an online survey conducted to 391 nurses and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. The findings indicate that career growth is significantly correlated with organizational commitment and its three dimensions: affective, normative, and continuance commitment. These results underscore that nurses’ perceptions of opportunities for competency development, promotion, and remuneration play a critical role in strengthening their organizational attachment. Furthermore, this study highlights the need for sustained interventions, such as career counseling services, professional mentoring, and structured social support programs, to optimize career development, foster a sense of organizational belonging, and reduce disparities in commitment levels among nurses.
