Description
This dataset contains information on regions in Spain, France, China, and the USA, used to create spatial maps illustrating crop–livestock disconnection at the county or provincial scale. It was developed as part of the collaboration for the Special Issue Reducing Nitrogen Waste Through Crop and Livestock Reconnection, edited by Luis Lassaletta, Alberto Sanz-Cobeña, Lin Ma, Sheri Spiegal, Corentin Pinsard, Pytrik Reidsma (†), and Val Snow.

The four datasets included here were used to characterize systems and analyze crop–livestock disconnection in Spain, France, China, and the USA. This work is the result of collaboration among: Luis Lassaletta, Corentin Pinsard, Lin Ma, Sheri Spiegal, Pytrik Reidsma (†), Zhahoai Bai, Alfredo Rodríguez, Val Snow, and Alberto Sanz-Cobeña (19-Dec-2025).
