International Commission on Physics Education (ICPE) Newsletter, Issue 54

This is the October 2007 issue of the International Commission on Physics Education (ICPE) newsletter. It highlights global efforts to promote active learning in physics through workshops and networks such as ASPEN and LAPEN, and announces the launch of PHYSWARE workshops for low-cost instructional tools. The issue previews the ICPE2007 conference in Marrakech, themed “Building Careers with Physics,” and includes articles on young learners’ attitudes toward science from the ROSE project and on physics education developments in Thailand.
