KindKart: A Sustainable Digital Platform for Reusing and Exchanging Electronic Devices

ABSTRACT

 Every year, thousands of electronic devices end up unused or discarded, even though many of them could still serve another user.

Many people lack a simple, trustworthy way to exchange these gadgets within their own community. KindKart was created to solve this everyday problem. It is a lightweight mobile application built using Flutter and Firebase, designed to help people easily buy and sell pre- owned electronics.

The app allows users to sign in securely, list the products they want to sell, and include important details such as price, description, contact number, and location. At the same time, other users can view all the available products in real time, explore each item in detail, and connect with sellers without any complexity. A dedicated “My Products” section helps users track and manage their own listings, giving them full control over what they want to sell.

KindKart brings together technology and sustainability by encouraging the reuse of electronic devices. It creates a friendly, transparent, and community-driven marketplace where people can save money, reduce waste, and make better use of resources. The project demonstrates how modern mobile technologies can make everyday tasks simpler and help communities become more connected and environmentally responsible.
