Metrology of digital instrumentation of power substations

Energy transformation involving distributed renewable energy sources imposes new requirements on the control and measurement equipment of modern power substations. Equipment that meets these requirements includes measuring transformers with a digital interface and SAMUs (Stand Alone Merging Units). Such systems, used to bill prosumers for electricity, must be calibrated. This article describes the requirements for these systems and presents research results and an assessment of measurement errors.
