CLIMADAT-GRid-SD: High resolution statistically downscalled climate projections for Greece

CLIMADAT-GRid-SD provides high-resolution (1 km × 1 km) statistically downscaled daily climate projections for Greece for the period 1971–2100. The dataset is
derived from multiple CMIP6 global climate models and uses the CLIMADAT-GRid daily gridded dataset as the reference for statistical downscaling (Varotsos et al., 2025; https://essd.copernicus.org/articles/17/4455/2025/).

The CLIMADAT-GRid-SD dataset includes the following CMIP6 models and realizations:
- MIROC-ES2L (r1i1p1f2)
- UKESM1-0-LL (r1i1p1f2)
- CanESM5 (r1i1p1f1)
- INM-CM4-8 (r1i1p1f1)

Daily data are provided for historical and future periods under the following
Shared Socioeconomic Pathway (SSP) scenarios:
- SSP1-2.6
- SSP2-4.5
- SSP5-8.5

The dataset includes the following daily variables:
- precipitation sum
- mean air temperature
- maximum air temperature
- minimum air temperature
- mean relative humidity
- mean wind speed

Due to the total dataset size (TB scale), the full NetCDF (.nc) files are hosted
externally via the CLIMADAT-hub data repository:

Data access:
A complete list of direct download URLs is provided in the file
`CLIMADAT-GRid-SD.txt`. Users can download all files using, for example:
wget -c -i CLIMADAT-GRid-SD.txt

Integrity verification:
SHA-256 checksum files are provided per climate model:
- checksums_CanESM5.sha256
- checksums_INM_CM4_8.sha256
- checksums_MIROC_ES2L.sha256
- checksums_UKESM_1.sha256

After downloading the data for a given model, file integrity can be verified using:
cd <MODEL_NAME> && sha256sum -c ../checksums_<MODEL_NAME>.sha256
