A practical guide to VR

This booklet is one of the output of VRChem project (https://vrchem.pk.edu.pl/), in the frame of Work Package 2 "Development of VR course framework, methodology and the train trainer's material", coordinated by METID Learning Innovation of Politecnico di Milano.

This "A Practical Guide to VR" provides both theoretical and practical insights into the use of Virtual Reality in higher education. Aimed at teachers, trainers, and decision-makers, it introduces the fundamentals of VR technology, highlights its educational benefits, and presents case studies from project partners. It offers guidance on designing effective VR-enhanced learning experiences, with a focus on aligning learning outcomes, activities, and assessment. The booklet also reports the empirical experience of Politecnico di Milano, detailing laboratory setups, stakeholder roles, and monitoring tools used in VR classes. It concludes with practical preparatory materials and guidelines to support instructors and students in adopting VR effectively in the classroom.
