IMPLEMENTASI TEKNOLOGI 5G (MASSIVE MACHINE TYPE COMMUNICATION / MMTC) DALAM MENDUKUNG EKOSISTEM IOT SKALA BESAR

Makalah ini menganalisis peran strategis teknologi 5G Massive Machine Type Communication (mMTC) dalam mengatasi keterbatasan infrastruktur jaringan seluler konvensional (4G LTE) saat menghadapi lonjakan perangkat IoT skala masif. Studi ini membahas evolusi arsitektur jaringan dari 4G ke 5G, dengan fokus pada penerapan teknologi kunci seperti Network Slicing, mekanisme akses Grant-Free, dan Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA). Hasil analisis literatur menunjukkan bahwa implementasi 5G mMTC mampu meningkatkan efisiensi spektrum secara signifikan dan memenuhi target densitas koneksi hingga satu juta perangkat per kilometer persegi ($10^6$ devices/$km^2$), menjadikannya fondasi vital bagi pengembangan Smart City dan otomatisasi industri yang efisien energi.
