Edadismo: la discriminación del siglo XXI
Description
ENGLISH
To speak of ageism is to speak of an everyday reality that, all too often, remains unnoticed. Beneath jokes, stereotypes, or decisions that restrict opportunities lies a form of discrimination that affects millions of people solely on the basis of age.
Ageism: The Discrimination of the Twenty-First Century was conceived with the aim of raising awareness of this phenomenon and providing tools to understand and transform it. Drawing on diverse disciplinary perspectives, the authors of this volume examine how ageism shapes health, employment, communication, and intergenerational relationships, while proposing strategies to build a society in which all ages are equally valued.
We invite readers to reflect and to act. Bringing an end to ageism is not only a matter of justice, but also a commitment to fostering a more humane, solidaristic, and inclusive coexistence.
