Description

Standard Operating Procedure for Agassiz Trawl

The Agassiz Trawl is a benthic sampling gear designed to catch large seafloor organisms (megabenthos) such as crustaceans, echinoderms, mollusks, and demersal fishes. It features a horizontal beam with side runners and a net, constructed symmetrically to operate on either side, making it suitable for deep-sea deployments.
