ESIIL Stars Program Cohort 3 2025 Annual Report

Description
This evaluation summarizes the findings from Year 3 of the ESIIL Stars program at the University of Colorado Boulder. The ESIIL Stars Program taught undergraduates STEM skills at the intersection of data and Earth and Environmental science. The study assessed the ESIIL Stars program’s effect on student skill attainment and development, student self-confidence, student career interest, and student career persistence in STEM to understand progress toward the intended goals of the program. In addition, the study sought to understand how the learning environment and teaching approaches (including use of Artificial Intelligence – AI) supported student learning and engagement in EDS.
