ESA SCOPE-Satellite-Based Primary Production and Export Production in the North Atlantic Subtropical Gyre

This dataset provides the subset of satellite-based primary production (PP, mg C m⁻² d⁻¹) and export production (EP, mg C m⁻² d⁻¹) products generated by the project Satellite based observations of Carbon in the Ocean: Pools, fluxes and Exchanges (SCOPE) funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).

The PP dataset provides monthly depth integrated (from surface within the productive layer) primary production at a spatial resolution of 4 km from 1998 to 2023. The EP product provides daily depth integrated (from surface within the productive layer) export production at the same 4 km global resolution monthly over the period from 2000 to 2023. The subset released here corresponds to the central North Atlantic Subtropical Gyre (NASTG) within the box of 45°W to 33°W and 23°N to 17°N.
