TREES AND DUST: STUDYING THE EFFICIENCY OF LEAVES AS NATURAL BIOFILTERS

Trees function as natural biofilters and play a crucial role in combating air pollution. This study presents experimental observations from Termiz city, focusing on the capacity of tree leaves to retain airborne particulates. Using SEM microscopy and statistical modeling, species like Catalpa and Platanus were found to effectively trap PM2.5 particles. The findings support evidence-based planning of urban green infrastructure.
