Média éducatif «Assistance – Coercition»: Rencontre avec des personnes concernées par les placements d'enfants en Suisse, 1950-1981

This article presents the new educational media « Assistance and Coercion » launched online in January 2025. This platform is the result of a collaboration between three Universities of Teacher Education in Switzerland (Lucerne, Ticino, Vaud). Pupils meet witnesses of one of the troubled past of Swiss history: coercive measures for assistance purposes. This project gives voice to people whose wrongs have long been ignored and offers students the chance to listen to the testimony of people affected by placement measures. An educational journey follows the viewing of the interviews and offers an introduction to the theme through the study of first-hand archives.
