Description

Brumoides Chapin, 1965

Brumoides Chapin, 1965a: 237; Gordon, 1987: 24; Giorgi et al., 2014: 336.

Type species: Coccinella suturalis Fabricius, 1798; by subsequent designation of Chapin (1965a).

Distribution by States in the Northeast Region of Brazil. Maranhão; Paraíba; Pernambuco; Alagoas.

Species from the Northeast Region of Brazil. Brumoides foudrasii (Mulsant, 1850).

Comments. Brumoides has a natural distribution in the Old World (Kovář 1995). The record for NE Brazil is due to the occurrence of the exotic species B. foudrasii (Giorgi et al. 2014).
