Default at Inception: The Logical Collapse of Marx, Rand, and Materialism

This essay, Default at Inception: The Logical Collapse of Marx, Rand, and Materialism, 
completes the arc begun in Hidden Kinship Between Marx and Rand and continued in The 
Century Shaken: A Note on the Collapse of Marx, Rand, and Materialism. It argues that 
Marxism, Objectivism, and secular materialism defaulted from the start, collapsing retroactively 
at inception because each denies the irreducible inner world of imagination, faith, art, and 
thought, the very realities they must rely upon to construct their own ideologies. By anticipating 
objections and demonstrating how autonomy, persistence, and the promise of liberation unravel 
under scrutiny, the essay shows that these systems dissolve into constraint rather than freedom. 
In contrast to prior critiques, this work systematizes the collapse through three lines of critique 
and reaffirms the Universal Principle of Collapse: any ideology that excludes the inner world is 
invalid from the moment it begins. This paper is the third in a three‑part series, establishing the 
foundation for subsequent work that will expand and apply the principle across philosophy and 
culture. Like its predecessors, it proceeds in a narrative voice, reflecting the irreducible inner 
world it defends.
