WEFE Nexus Indicator Scores for the Subbasins of the Sakarya Basin under RCP-SSP Climate Scenarios
Authors/Creators
Description
This dataset provides scenario-based WEFE (Water–Energy–Food–Ecosystem) nexus indicator scores for the seven subbasins of the Sakarya Basin. Indicator values are reported for three coupled climate scenarios, i.e., RCP4.5–SSP1, RCP4.5–SSP2, and RCP8.5–SSP5, representing alternative socio-economic and emissions pathways. For each scenario, the dataset includes normalized scores for multiple indicators across the WEFE pillars, including MDC (Municipal Demand Coverage, %), HPP_MGC (Hydropower production as % of maximum hydropower generation capacity), RES (Renewable Energy Share, %), CO₂_EG (CO₂ emission reduction, %), IDM (irrigation demand met, %), and monthly MMS (Median discharges for each calendar month (MMS) (m3/sec). Scores are provided for three time horizons (NC: near-century, MC: mid-century, FC: far-century) corresponding to the analysis periods used in the study.
Separate Excel files are provided for each subbasin, using the following abbreviations:
ASAK – Lower Sakarya
GOK – Goksu
OSAK – Middle Sakarya
KIR – Kirmir
ANK – Ankara
POR – Porsuk
YSAK – Upper Sakarya
These datasets support the reproducibility of the WEFE nexus assessment presented in the study and facilitate further hydrological, energy, agricultural, and ecosystem sustainability analyses under future climate scenarios.
