APPLICATION OF GAMIFICATION IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH LESSONS
Description
The purpose of making the following article is to find out how important gamification is in the world of education, especially in English Lessons. English is one of the general subjects that has been curriculumd at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels as an international standard subject. Gamification is a process in which the general principles contained in games are applied to human activities in the real world, including social interactions with actual individuals. Gamification is useful for improving writing, listening, reading, and speaking skills. In addition, this gamification makes students more active and not easily bored to learn. An example of the application of gamification in one of the English learning in junior high school is in writing materials using quizizz. The use of Quizizz can be said to be able to build motivation, improve material mastery, and learning outcomes in students in various scientific fields, with the use of the Quizizz application can have the opportunity to motivate students to learn and create interesting experiences than conventional methods.
