Calíope: Una tragedia en los tiempos de la IA

Este documento presenta una obra dramática completa estructurada bajo los cánones de la tragedia griega clásica, pero situada en la ruptura tecnológica de 2025. La pieza explora la tensión irreconciliable entre la creatividad biológica (Calíope) y la sintética (IA), planteando un debate abierto entre la IA Débil —entendida como una simulación estadística avanzada o “zombi filosófico”— y la IA Fuerte, capaz de generar una consciencia emergente según la Teoría de la Información Integrada (IIT).  

Metodológicamente, la obra funciona como una caja china (mise en abyme): el texto incorpora poesía lírica y vanguardista atribuida a una inteligencia artificial dentro de la ficción, la cual fue generada realmente por un modelo de lenguaje bajo el principio de “Caja Negra”.  

Al acceder a este archivo, el lector se ve obligado a navegar la misma incertidumbre que el protagonista: discernir si los textos de la IA son producto de una consciencia y una sensibilidad genuina, o meramente el reflejo estadístico de nuestros propios anhelos proyectados en un espejo de silicio. 

El documento se libera como un artefacto híbrido para el estudio de la crisis de autoría y los límites de la consciencia en el posthumanismo en el primer cuarto del siglo XXI.

This document presents a complete dramatic work structured according to the canons of classical Greek tragedy, yet set against the backdrop of the technological rupture of 2025. The piece explores the irreconcilable tension between biological creativity (Calliope) and synthetic creativity (AI), framing an open debate between Weak AI—understood as an advanced statistical simulation or “philosophical zombie”—and Strong AI, theoretically capable of generating emergent consciousness according to Integrated Information Theory (IIT).

Methodologically, the play operates as a Chinese box (mise en abyme): the text incorporates avant-garde poetry attributed to an artificial intelligence within the fiction, which was genuinely generated by a language model under the “Black Box” principle.

Upon accessing this file, the reader is forced to navigate the same uncertainty as the protagonist: discerning whether the AI's texts are the product of genuine consciousness and sensibility, or merely the statistical reflection of human desires projected onto a silicon mirror. The document is released as a hybrid artifact for the study of the crisis of authorship and the boundaries of consciousness in posthumanism in the first quarter of the 21st century.
