Open Source meets Open Science

This session explores why software has become a central component of the scholarly ecosystem and how open source practices directly support the goals of Open Science. Using the Software Heritage universal source code archive as an example, the session shows how source code captures essential scientific knowledge and why preserving, referencing, and describing it are key to reproducibility and long-term access.
