LIVING AND HEALTH CONDITIONS OF INCARCERED WOMEN IN THE PUBLIC WOMEN'S PRISON OF SÃO VICENTE/SP
Description
The present project aims to understand the daily challenges faced by
incarcerated women and the factors that led them to this situation. Due to the nature of
this study, a qualitative research was chosen, with an exploratory and comprehensive
approach to the phenomenon studied, seeking to grasp the characteristics of a particular
social group or phenomenon, as well as to understand their opinions, beliefs, and
attitudes (Gil, 1995). Thus, the qualitative approach is justified to meet the objectives of
the research that will be conducted at the 2nd Police Station of São Vicente, with five
inmates through semi-structured interviews. The results was be analyzed in light of the
theoretical framework used and the proposed objectives.
