Reincarnate D3.3 – Parametric Design Tool for Reused Building Parts and Recycled Materials

Description

This deliverable introduces the REINCARNATE Parametric Design Tool (PDT), developed under Task 3.3 to support the reuse of building parts and integration of recycled materials within BIM workflows. The report summarises the tool’s functionality, development, and intended use, providing guidance for architects, engineers, and property owners.

The PDT enables automated extraction of reusable components from demolished or soon-to-be-demolished buildings, generates a secondary materials marketplace database, and performs geometry-based matchmaking between available components and new design requirements. It includes carbon emission estimation capabilities and integrates with the Circular Potential Information Management (CP-IM) platform. This document serves as supporting guidance; the main deliverable is the tool itself, made publicly accessible via GitHub.
