Studying vascular epiphytes is very hard! [Vegsciblog]
Authors/Creators
Description
This is a plain-language summary "behind the paper" of the publication "EpIG-DB: A database of vascular epiphyte assemblages in the Neotropics" from the Journal of Vegetation Science. This not only provides insights into the manuscript's creation but also into the history of the Epiphyte Inventory Group (EpIG) and highlights the study system: vascular epiphytes and many of the ECRs climbing trees and collecting data. The latter also explains some of the drawbacks of studying vascular epiphytes. For the original post visit: https://vegsciblog.org/2020/04/26/studying-vascular-epiphytes/.
