Vacuum-Resonant Constant-Acceleration Drive Ivanov (VRDPU-I) and the Interstellar Spacecraft "Orion-1729P"
Authors/Creators
Description
A propellantless engine — the Vacuum-Resonant Constant-Acceleration Drive Ivanov
(VRDPU-I) — is proposed. It extracts energy directly from the physical vacuum via
controlled phase transition of the hyperbolic lattice {5,3,3}.
The engine delivers constant proper acceleration of 1–3 mm/s² with zero propellant
consumption. Based on this engine, the interstellar spacecraft “Orion-1729P” has been
designed:
• ship time to Proxima Centauri b — 8.24 years
• Earth time — 9.61 years
• maximum velocity 0.818 c
All calculations are performed rigorously within Ivanov’s cubic vacuum metric.
The spacecraft is currently at the design stage.
