Supporting publication strategy at Leiden University: The role of the library

Poster created for the Open Science Festival 2025 in the Netherlands, held on 25 October 2025 at the University of Groningen. 

The poster explains the role and actions of Leiden University Libraries in implementing the university-wide strategic publication framework in organizational sublevels: working from abstract values and criteria for consideration; via practice-based insights and dialogue; to implementable guidelines on institute, departmental or faculty level. The poster showcases the goals and instruments, to visualize the trajectory of implementing this strategic publication framework so far – from values and criteria to guidelines for specific disciplinary practices. It invites the audience to reflect on the role of the library in scholarly communication strategy and practice.
