The Educational Performance Tension Index (EPTI)
Authors/Creators
Description
The Educational Performance Tension Index (EPTI), derived from the ITI–IDI–ETI generative lineage, is a non-weighted structural diagnostic model for education systems.
Rather than assigning subjective weights to learning modules, EPTI infers importance directly from observable performance instability. Tension is detected through outcome gradients, allowing friction — not opinion — to indicate where the learning process is absorbing structural load.
By eliminating pre-determined dimension weighting, EPTI shifts evaluation from judgement-based assessment to structure-based diagnosis. The model introduces axioms, computational architecture, and mathematical formulation enabling provincial-level, district-level, longitudinal, and cross-cohort analysis — while making no evaluative claims about individuals or institutions.
