The article analyzes the issues of food and industrial product supply to the population of Uzbekistan during 1985-1991 in the symbolic novel “The Fields Left by My Father”. It examines the discrepancies between the daily labor activities of peasants, children, and women and the official data. Additionally, it shows how the system worked in presenting information that did not align with reality to society.
