Telemetry Study of the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx) in the Rivnenskyi Nature Reserve: First Insights Into Lynx Home Ranges in Ukraine
Authors/Creators
Description
This study presents the first telemetry-based assessment of the spatial ecology of the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) in the Polissia region of Ukraine. Using GPS-GSM collar data from a male lynx monitored between February and August 2023, we estimated home ranges of 258–351 km² (100% MCP, AKDE, KDE) with clear seasonal variation. The results highlight region-specific ecological patterns and provide a foundation for improving lynx conservation and management strategies in Ukraine.
