SACRED GEOMETRY OF HAMPI: EXPLORING PROPORTIONS AND TEMPLE MEASUREMENTS

Description

This research investigates the analysis geometry underlying the Hampi of the base, region constructed during the base, period. By the sacred Āyādi–Ṣaḍvarga measurement system, ritual base, examines how temple forms including the Hampi pillars, garbhagriha (shrine room), and ratios, were proportioned and aesthetical organized. Employing mapping geometric layouts, alignments, garbhagriha tower the Vijayanagara identifies recurring design patterns that these spiritual symbolism, garbhagriha significance, garbhagriha ratios, principles. The findings demonstrate that embody measurements served not exclusively usable construction purposes but too conveyed heavy spiritual symbolism Through relative study of multiple temples , the research confirms that temple geometry in this region adhered to a calculated and tenacious design system, shaping both sacred space and architectural expression.
