Dataset for publication: Novel metamaterial platform with piezoelectric sensors for self-sensing mechanical support

Description
This dataset serves as the basis for a journal article that investigated the feasibility of using an integrated piezoelectric ceramic material as a functional part of a host structure. The final product was a smart platform consisting of two parallel auxetic structures with passive and active piezoceramics influencing its behaviour and sensing external stimuli. This research paper focuses on a novel approach and the use of a multidisciplinary model as a means of efficiently investigating and validating observed results.
