Description

This dataset is part of the one originally used in the study “A Multicentre Evaluation of Dosiomics Features Reproducibility, Stability, and Sensitivity” (Cancers 2021, 13, 3835) and was employed in “Assessing the Agreement of Radiomic Tools for Dosiomics: A Multi-Software Comparative Study” (Medical Physics 2025, doi: 10.1002/mp.70203) to evaluate software agreement and feature reproducibility across different feature-extraction tools. It is provided here to support further research in dosiomics. Researchers using this dataset are encouraged to cite both studies.

Dataset Context
The dataset was developed by the Dosiomics Team of the Radiomics Working Group of the Alliance Against Cancer (ACC). A dedicated heterogeneous cylindrical phantom (modified ArcCheck PMMA insert) was scanned using CT (slice thickness 1.25 mm, 140 kV, pixel size 1.269 mm²). Ten Regions of Interest (ROIs) were contoured to emulate a head-and-neck radiotherapy scenario: planning target volume (PTV), left parotid, right parotid, combined parotids, spinal canal, trachea, larynx, spinal canal planning organ-at-risk volume (SC PRV), and two planning-aid RING structures.

Eight IMRT dose distributions included in this dataset were generated by five centres following consistent planning protocols, LINACs, photon energies, beam angles, and TPS (Varian Eclipse-Aria) settings to ensure comparability.

Content of the Dataset

  • CT.zip: Planning CT of the phantom, used for dose calculation.

  • RTSTRUCT.zip: DICOM RTSTRUCT file containing the contours of the 10 ROIs.

  • RTDOSES.zip: The eight IMRT dose distributions.

This dataset provides a resource for evaluating dosiomic feature extraction and reproducibility.
