A Multilayer Transparent Photovoltaic Architecture (AMTPV) for Full-Spectrum Solar Energy Harvesting
Authors/Creators
Description
This work proposes a fully transparent, multilayer photovoltaic architecture (AMTPV) capable of harvesting ultraviolet, visible, near-infrared, and thermal solar energy through wavelength-selective ultrathin membranes. Each layer absorbs only its target spectral band while transmitting all others, enabling full-spectrum utilization and projected 60–80% conversion efficiency under AM1.5G illumination.
Unlike conventional opaque tandem cells, AMTPV is compatible with window-integrated solar glass, automotive photovoltaic glazing, mobile devices, and large-area architectural applications. The system represents a scalable pathway toward ultra-high-efficiency transparent solar infrastructure.
