Pat.248314: Method of manufacturing composite tiles
Authors/Creators
Description
The subject of the application is a method for manufacturing composite plates on a polymer matrix, with a filler in the form of metal-based chips of a specific fraction, from recycled materials. The method of manufacturing composite plates with a filler in the form of chips based on metal and a polymer matrix consists in that it comprises the steps of: mixing a filler in the form of brass chips and a polymer matrix, wherein the filler in the form of brass chips has a fraction from 200 to 400 µm in an amount of 90±5% by weight, while the matrix is in the form of powdered PEEK plastic with a fraction of 200 - 500 µm in an amount of 10±5% by weight, wherein the matrix has a lower melting point than the filler, and then; placing the mixture in a press mold cavity, and then; homogenizing at a temperature from 300°C to 400°C and under a pressure from 30 to 50 MPa, using a press, and then; the finished product is solidified, reflecting the shape of the molding cavity, at a temperature of 50°C to 150°C and a pressure of 10 to 15.5 MPa, in the time from the moment of plasticization to obtaining the molded part, in the time from 1500 to 3000 s.
