Description
This scientific article highlights the importance of hydrogel-based water-saving irrigation methods as innovative approaches in agriculture. The article analyzes in detail the chemical structure of hydrogels, methods of synthesis, the effect on the hydrophysical and agrochemical properties of the soil, as well as their role in increasing the productivity of plants in drought conditions. Based on scientific research and experiments, it is shown that hydrogels increase water retention capacity by 20-50%, reduce irrigation requirements by 30-50%, and increase productivity by 15-30%. The advantages and disadvantages of synthetic and natural hydrogels, as well as the prospects for their integration with nanotechnologies, are discussed. The article is aimed at the sustainable development of agriculture in the context of global water scarcity and climate change, and proposes practical applications of hydrogel technologies and future research directions.
