EMPLOYING MODERN PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES TO ADVANCE VOCABULARY DEVELOPMENT AMONG PRIMARY LEARNERS

Description

The growth of vocabulary is a central part of the early development of children's speech and literacy, but many traditional teaching methods no longer meet the needs of modern elementary school. This study examines recent research on how modern pedagogical approaches can reinforce vocabulary acquisition in younger students. The quality review design was used to analyze academic resources published between 2000 and 2024, focusing on technology-supported learning, communicative practices, task-based learning, multisensory strategies, and differentiated learning. The results show that digital tools encourage participation and offer rich, multimodal access to new vocabulary; communicative and task-oriented methods encourage students to use vocabulary in meaningful interaction; multisensory approaches
