This article examines the theoretical foundations of comparing Arabic and Uzbek proverbs from linguistic, cultural, and cognitive perspectives. It emphasizes the role of proverbs as reflections of a nation's moral values, collective wisdom, and worldview. The research highlights how Arabic and Uzbek proverbs, despite cultural differences, share similar themes such as honesty, patience, respect, and destiny. Through metaphorical imagery and symbolic expression, both languages convey universal human values. The study concludes that comparative paremiology strengthens intercultural communication and deepens understanding of linguistic and cultural heritage.
