Digitizing the Analog World: How Everyday Actions Become Persistent Data
Description
This work explains how analog human activities, movement, location, purchases, presence, and ambient behavior, are increasingly captured as digital data by surrounding technologies. The abstract discusses all five Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS) vectors and illustrates how actions performed without a device can still become machine-readable through environmental sensors, RF emissions, images, metadata, and third-party uploads. The piece highlights personal and professional risks associated with analog-to-digital leakage.
