MyResearchFolio: Advancing open science-aware and responsible research assessment

The presentation outlines MyResearchFolio, a comprehensive and customisable framework for building a researcher profile:

• Framework Goals: It aims to highlight and promote researchers' achievements throughout their careers by evaluating their efforts both quantitatively and qualitatively.
• Scope: The framework is extensive in scope, capturing a researcher's full range of contributions beyond just traditional publication metrics, and is aligned with reforms to support the implementation of Open Science and responsible research assessment. It provides a holistic view of a researcher’s capabilities, skills, and impact.
• Responsible Use of Indicators: While metrics and indicators are useful benchmarks, the presentation stresses that qualitative insights are crucial to contextualize and enrich their meaning. It is essential to adopt a qualitative approach when using indicators. The project involves developing clear guidelines for using indicators to assess researchers in a fair and comprehensive manner.
• MyResearchFolio Elements: It leverages information and Responsible Research Assessment (RRA) criteria to deliver insightful, interactive researcher profiles. Key elements include:
  • Knowledge Sources: Qualitative and quantitative information to highlight achievements.
  • Open Science Indicators: Promoting transparency and accessibility to research.
  • Interactive Timeline: A detailed overview of all research outputs and activities.
  • Data Visualization & Assessment Criteria.
  • Prototype Creation.
• Prototype Specification: The current prototype allows users to log in with ORCID, using data from ORCID and OpenAIRE Graph. Users will be able to modify the displayed information, and any information they add to the dashboard will be updated in their corresponding ORCID profile.

The contributions of the OPUS and PathOS projects to the GraspOS framework for Researcher Profiles are also mentioned.
