SURVEY OF MEDICAL PERSONNEL AIMED AT IDENTIFYING SIGNIFICANT FACTORS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LIS IN MEDICAL LABORATORIES
Authors/Creators
Description
Modern laboratories are almost universally implementing laboratory information systems (LIS) that integrate with automatic and semi-automatic analyzers. This integration enables automatic data exchange between equipment and LIS, which significantly increases laboratory productivity and optimizes staff workflows. Laboratory information systems have automation mechanisms—digital sample registration, barcoding, sample routing, and automated notifications—that allow the monitoring of preanalytical discrepancies to be integrated directly into the laboratory workflow, which can help reduce the risk of human error and speed up data processing.
