Description
The main objective of this article is to explore the effective use of design thinking in business process management. Design thinking is a method that helps find solutions to complex problems that align with user interests. A thought process built on the foundations of design thinking transforms students into socially active citizens, ready to create and implement creative and viable ideas to solve local and global problems affecting people in society. Design thinking produces innovative students, which is something our educational institutions lack. Design thinking methodology teaches how to innovate to solve social problems, test the viability of ideas, to test their relevance and demand among the potential target audience. Creativity, teamwork, human-centeredness, curiosity, and an optimistic attitude are all components of design thinking, as well as a methodology used to find new solutions to existing problems. The main feature of design thinking, unlike analytical thinking, is not critical analysis, but a creative process in which the most unexpected ideas sometimes lead to the best solutions to problems. Design thinking principles are applied in a wide variety of fields: from treating childhood obesity to crime prevention, from the rocket industry to climate change.
