Metabolic syndrome (MS) refers to a cluster of interrelated cardiovascular risk factors, including abdominal obesity, hypertension, impaired glycemia, and dyslipidemia. It is estimated that between 20 and 30% of the adult population in most countries are affected by MS [Farmanfarma K., 2020]. However, the prevalence of MS varies significantly depending on geographical region, level of development, and diagnostic criteria.
