This article investigates the pedagogical value of authentic materials in enhancing the listening comprehension skills of English language learners. The study focuses on how real-life audio resources contribute to learners’ linguistic awareness, cultural understanding, and strategic listening development. The paper outlines various types of authentic materials, identifies challenges encountered by students, and offers methodological recommendations for effective integration in the EFL classroom. Findings reveal that authentic input significantly improves comprehension accuracy, increases motivation, and prepares students for real-world communication.
