Partizipative Daten-Workshops: Eine spielerische Reise von der Forschungsfrage zur Dateninterpretation am Beispiel eines globalen Klimasurveys

Description

In the international research project GREAT, global data on attitudes toward climate change and video games were collected in cooperation with the UNDP. The data were gathered through a short survey embedded in various online video games for smartphones and consoles. A team at ZSI presented the dataset, comprising around 200,000 entries, in three online workshops and facilitated a collaborative data exploration with the participants. Playful elements supported the exchange. The aim was to gain new perspectives on the data and to turn participants, originally data providers, into active data interpreters. In addition, evidence-based recommendations for global climate policy were jointly developed.
