Description

M2EA05 dataset from Laboratoire 3SR.

The raw data is a series of x-ray tomography images 4x4x4 downscaled (i.e., "bin 4") acquired while doing an operando triaxial compression test on a granular material.

It's been roughly analysed with spam 0.8.1.4 (Stamati, O., Andò, E., Roubin, E., Cailletaud, R., Wiebicke, M., Pinzon, G., ... & Birmpilis, G. (2020). Spam: software for practical analysis of materials. Journal of Open Source Software, 5(51), 2286) to measure incremental grain motion (see analysis.zsh which could be significantly improved).

The principle of the "low effort" analysis is that:

  • (spam-reg) an overall incremental registration is performed between im_T and im_T+1
  • (spam-ddic) a "dicrete DIC" is performed tracking labels from im_T and im_T+1 with an initial guess of the registration
  • (spam-moveLabels) an approximate new label image in im_T+1 is computed by displacing the labelled image in im_T with the DDIC results
