Description

Abstract: Digital Twin (DT) technology has become a transformative innovation in modern supply chain management, offering real-time visibility, predictive analytics, and enhanced decision-making capabilities. This paper investigates how Digital Twins enable strategic decision-making across different supply chain dimensions, including forecasting, risk management, logistics optimization, resource allocation, and operational performance improvement. Through a comprehensive review of contemporary literature, industrial case examples, and conceptual analysis, the study highlights the role of DTs in synchronizing physical and digital supply chain environments. The findings demonstrate that DTs support proactive strategies, reduce operational uncertainties, enhance sustainability outcomes, and enable end-to-end supply chain resilience. Despite the significant benefits, challenges related to integration complexity, data interoperability, cybersecurity, and organizational readiness continue to hinder widespread adoption. This paper concludes that Digital Twins would become a foundational pillar for future intelligent supply chains, supporting data-driven, adaptive, and autonomous decision-making.
