A New Parametric Accelerated Failure Time Model for Semi-Competing Risks Data

Data and source files for applying our newly developed acelerated failure time model for semi-competing risks data. The data is taken from the PAQUID study (JF GM, BARBERGER-GATEAU P, others . The PAQUID epidemiological program on brain aging. Neuroepidemiology.1992;11(4):14–8.) and is freely avalaible in the R package SmoothHazard (see Touraine C, Gerds TA, Joly P. SmoothHazard: an R package for fitting regression models to interval-censored observations of illness-death models. Journal of Statistical Software. 2017;79:1–22.).

The files with the extension .R is the source file for use with the open statistical software R (The R Foundation of Scientific Computing), the one with the extension .sas is the source file for the statistical software SAS, accordingly.

The file Param_AFT_Simulations.SAS provides source code necessary for conducting the simulation study, while the document Model_Macro.SAS includes the source file required for implementing the model on the PAQUID study data.

The document Final_Results.R contains the code necessary for assessing the outcomes of the simulation study and can be utilized to reproduce the corresponding tables presented in the paper.
